iO Platform 2.3.0 Release: Expanded DNP3 Integration and Enhanced Monitoring Capabilities
Multitel is pleased to announce the release of iO Platform version 2.3.0.2274, delivering new integration capabilities, monitoring enhancements, and important reliability improvements for iO Supervisor users.
Introducing DNP3 Server Support
The headline feature of this release is the introduction of DNP3 Server (Outstation) support, enabling iO Platform deployments to integrate directly with DNP3 Master systems. This new functionality provides extensive configuration options, including support for DNP3 Groups, Variations, Indexes, Classes, and timestamps. Users can also map SNMP and Modbus asset data points into DNP3, simplifying integration across diverse operational environments.
To streamline deployment and ongoing management, the platform now includes a dedicated DNP3 configuration interface along with import and export capabilities for faster provisioning and configuration management.
Enhanced SNMP Visibility
Version 2.3.0 also expands SNMP trap forwarding functionality by adding support for analog data values within trap notifications. This enhancement provides network management systems with more detailed operational information, enabling improved monitoring and faster response to changing conditions.
Improved User Experience
Several enhancements have been implemented to improve usability and configuration accuracy:
- Selected equipment settings can now be edited directly by users.
- Connection type validation has been added during configuration imports to help prevent deployment errors.
Reliability and Stability Improvements
This release includes multiple bug corrections aimed at improving overall platform performance and reliability, including:
- Enhanced F1AI1 logging and corrected Modbus float formatting.
- Improved SNMPv3 password validation.
- Restored missing trap forwarding log entries.
- Fixed Modbus TCP polling behavior for iO Supervisor binary inputs.
- Corrected iO Channel logging behavior.
- Eliminated duplicate OID generation issues in trap forwarding configurations.
Supporting Smarter Infrastructure Monitoring
With the addition of DNP3 integration, expanded SNMP capabilities, and a range of stability improvements, iO Platform 2.3.0 continues to evolve as a robust solution for monitoring and managing critical infrastructure networks.
